Phillies officially sign Taiwanese right-handed pitcher

Projected to develop into a starting pitcher with a five-pitch arsenal.

MIAMI, July 6 — The Philadelphia Phillies officially signed Taiwanese right handed pitcher Ho Hua on Saturday during the 2025–26 international signing period.

Hua, 17, reached an agreement after the Phillies acquired an additional $250,000 in international bonus pool money from the Cleveland Guardians in a trade.
