A total of 949 players have signed during the 2024–2025 international signing period.

As October comes to an end, only about 45 days remain in the current 2024/2025 international signing period. As of September 26, there were 949 players signed, just shy of the total from the 2023-2024 period, which reached 976. Based on my estimates, the overall number of signings before December 15 will surpass 1,000.

This projection is mainly supported by the fact that during the last two weeks of December, many teams tend to use up their remaining budget to make additional signings. Several organizations such as Toronto, Texas, San Diego, the Royals, and the Diamondbacks still have more than $500,000 available.

All of this simply means that opportunities to enter the MLB system continue to open up. However, the time players have to develop and remain within it is becoming increasingly shorter.
