International Signings Continue Steadily into 2024-25 Period Despite Apparent Post-January Lull

Despite what appears to be a quieter stretch following January 15, the 2024-25 international signing period remains active. MLB organizations continue to pursue eligible talent capable of impacting their systems, while also scouting heavily for upcoming classes in 2026, 2027, and beyond.

As of June, the total number of signed players has surpassed 800, representing 22 different countries. Remember the analysis I presented in May regarding Venezuela leading the way in player signings over the Dominican Republic? That wasn’t the final word.
