International Notes (August/September)
Cuban RHP is expected to sign with the Atlanta Braves.
In August, we had several important updates from the current international signing period, which we covered in Beisbol FR. Two of the highlights were the agreement of Korean pitcher Moon Seo-jun with the Toronto Blue Jays and that of Cuban right-hander Ronald Lazaro Mena with the Cubs.
We are now approaching the end of the 2024–2025 international signing period, which will officially conclude on December 15.
As of September, a total of 946 players from 23 different countries had signed. That number will very likely surpass the 976 signees from the previous signing period.
