A total of 13 players born in Cuba were recently declared free agents by the MLB Commissioner’s Office, sources told Beisbol FR.

This group is headlined by 16-year-old shortstop Jaider Suarez, who will be eligible to sign once the new international signing period opens on January 15, 2026.

The Kansas City Royals are the favorites to sign Jaider Suarez, a multi-tool player who was part of Cuba’s U-15 national team at the end of 2022.

Here’s the list of players who have been declared free agents and their chances of entering the MLB system.
